Curb the Loss in the Construction Industry

Headlines throughout the United States read loss after loss of jobsite thefts. Builders are tightening jobsite security, adapting new ways of surveillance and working within the industry to identify best practices.
The inaugural meeting of Greater Omaha’s Construction Coalition is organized by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and AGC Nebraska Building Chapter.
Sheriff Aaron Hanson, Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, will lead discussions including data on job site thefts in the Greater Omaha area. “While it’s not possilbe to control the ability and desire to commit a crime,” Hanson said, “contractors can remove the opportunities to steal and begin to break the cycles of theft.”
Discussion topics may include, but not limited to, types of items stolen, working with insurance companies, best practices to deter thieves, importance of and value of sharing information with industry and next steps for the group.
Who should attend: Owners, Loss Prevention, Safety, Job Site Superintendents, and Project Managers
*Parking is available in front of the building, MCL staff will be available to direct attendees to the training room.
