Introduction
Welcome to the agcnebuilders.com website (the “Site”), which is owned and operated by Nebraska Building Chapter of Associated General Contractors of America (“AGC NE Building Chapter”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). We created this Privacy Policy to help users of the Site understand how we collect, use, and protect information about them. The term “user” or “you” in this policy statement refers to visitors of the Site and individuals whose personal information we collect through the Site. The term “collected information” refers specifically to information collected from the Site.

Information Collected
For each visitor to this Site, we automatically collect the user’s IP address and certain information about the user’s equipment (e.g., type of browser, screen resolution, operating system). We do not automatically record other user-specific, personal information. Such personal information (e.g., email address, telephone number, photographic image, mailing address, company affiliation, job title) is recorded only when voluntarily provided by the user (e.g., when a user registers for an event, pays member dues, responds to a survey, completes or revises a user profile, or submits an inquiry through the Site). Highly sensitive personal information, such as credit card numbers, biometric data, and bank account numbers, that you may provide in relation to a transaction with us is processed only as necessary to complete the transaction and is not permanently stored in our technology systems, except as required by law or legitimate business purposes (such as record retention requirements). Such information may be temporarily processed by our third-party payment processors in accordance with PCI-DSS standards and applicable law.

Technologies used to gather information
AGC NE Building Chapter employs several technologies including but not limited to cookies, web beacons, browser cache technologies, locally stored objects, statistical identifiers, clear gifs, embedded scripts and similar means to collect information about how our website is used. Information gathered through cookies and server logs may include the date and time of visits, the pages viewed, time spent at the Site, and the sites visited just before and just after ours. This information is collected on an aggregate basis. None of this information is associated with you as an individual. Cookies are a feature of web browser software that allows web servers to recognize the computer used to access a website. Cookies are small pieces of data that are stored by a user's web browser on the user's hard drive. Cookies can remember what information a user accesses on one web page to simplify subsequent interactions with that website by the same user or to use the information to streamline the user's transactions on related web pages. This makes it easier for a user to move from web page to web page and to complete commercial transactions over the Internet. Cookies should make your online experience easier and more personalized.

Use of Collected Information
AGC NE Building Chapter’s primary objective in collecting user information is to provide superior services and benefits to our members and customers. In furtherance of that objective, we may use information we collect from you to: provide you with services, resources, events, surveys, awards, support, and benefits, and information about same; provide advertisements that are more likely to be of interest to you; measure and improve our services and operations (including IT systems); protect our legal and contractual rights, and the safety, privacy, and security of other users and the public; and to comply with laws and requests from public and government authorities. Collected user-specific information is normally incorporated into AGC NE Building Chapter’s general database of members and other contacts. AGC NE Building Chapter does not sell user-specific personal information to third parties for monetary or other valuable consideration. However, we do share information about members and other contacts with third parties in the following circumstances: (1) to provide attendees of an AGC NE Building Chapter event with registrant lists; (2) to share committee rosters with members and chapters; (3) to provide membership lists (which may include contact information) to companies with which AGC NE Building Chapter has an established business relationship so that they may market products or services offered at an AGC NE-member discount; (4) when required by law, legal process, or to protect our rights, property, or safety or that of others; and (5) as otherwise described in this Privacy Policy. You have the right to opt out of such sharing for marketing purposes as described in the “Opportunity to Opt-Out” section below. In some cases, user information is automatically shared with third parties by virtue of AGC NE Building Chapter’s use of third-party-provided technology, such as meeting registration software or payment platforms. AGC NE Building Chapter makes reasonable efforts to prevent unaffiliated third parties from using your information for AGC NE Building Chapter-unauthorized purposes but cannot control, and is not responsible for, the privacy practices or other conduct of such parties.

The Site contains links to other websites, some of which may look similar to the Site and appear to be a part of the Site but which may be hosted by third parties. In some cases, those third parties may also gather user data and may have a privacy policy different from AGC NE Building Chapter’s.
