ADVOCACY

2nd Priority — Develop and implement activities to become proactive in initiating legislation based on member input.

Important — Continue relationship building with related industry associates to strength the impact of the construction industry.
PROVIDE RELEVANT BENEFITS, SERVICES AND EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNTITES
Top Priority — Continue to identify, coordinate and provide training opportunities that are cost effective and time efficient for participants. Will place emphasis on location of event in relation to travel time, time commitment to be participate versus ROI, and increase the use of Webinar and Online training where appropriate.
Top Priority — Plan minimum of three regional membership meetings per year between November and April in each of the five regions in the state. Additional training event will be added for Western and Central areas with location being centrally located between Grand Island and Scottsbluff.
Top Priority — Plan increased offerings for field personnel and younger professionals.
Priority — Increase the awareness levels of members regarding chapter staff service/resources, along with ROI of membership by scheduling annual or semi-annual small group lunches of 2-3 members for all GC members.
Priority — Increase member value by adding additional discount/payback-profit share programs that provide real dollar savings to the membership, increasing value-added services and put a dollar value on more of the things AGC does to better communicate a quantitative value to members.

MARKETING AND VISIBILITY
Top Priority — Develop and implement a marketing plan that positions and brands the membership as "premier construction professionals" in the industry, bringing skills, integrity and responsibility to every project.
Top Priority — Establish a new chapter committee—a Public Relations/Branding Committee to assist in the development and implementation of a strategy to provide external efforts to enhance the public’s education about the industry; educate the public to the impact of rules/regulations to the cost of construction; and increase the branding of AGC membership as premier construction firms that are better than the rest of the industry.
Top Priority — Plan more joint activities with other groups (clients/owners/A-E/business community) to enhance networking. Add facility managers /owners to E-Update Subscription list and prepare an annual edition for owners.
Priority — Develop and provide to outside community a “green building” resource that provides info on “green” products/methods that actually deliver a ROI.
MAXIMIZE MEMBERSHIP GROWTH AND LOYALTY
Top Priority — Continue to implement the Membership Development Plan in place; including the additional activities and emphasis determined by the Membership Development Committee.
Top Priority — Increase and enhance member engagement by bring generations together—link student chapters—young professionals—established professionals via social media to traditional ways, actively bring more people together to committee work. Goal: 2 additional people per committee; create new committee—Public Relations/Branding Committee and bring groups that need to connect together for networking.
Top Priority — Develop a level of “support” for the chapter from other groups such as out-of-state contractors that are AGC members in other states, CM’s that work for firms other than construction; and owner’s reps. The new level of support will only be used if a firm does not fit into the existing membership fee structure.
Priority — Change the way we gather and deliver information—moving to include more face-to-face conversations with members by meeting in small groups periodically. This will be an excellent way to communicate more involvement from each firm, and making sure everyone is utilizing member services to the maximum for their firms.
Priority — More social events—maybe more smaller events, with maybe an individual company acting as host—promoted via Facebook, etc.
