INVITATION TO GOLF
The Nebraska Society of Professional Engineers has invited all AGC members to participate in their Golf Outing in Lincoln on Friday, October, 7.  The proceeds will help start a scholarship and will also be used to help fund our current local, SE Chapter, Math Counts competition. 

Math Counts is a 7th and 8th grade math competition.  The second leg is state and then to national competition. The participants are called mathletes.  Check it out if you haven’t heard about Math Counts: https://mathcounts.org/sslpage.aspx .  The engineers need help from the entire design and construction industry to make for a successful launch of this great program.

The 4-person scramble will be held at Pioneers Golf Course and the fee will be $80.00 per golfer.

FROM AGCA-NEW POSTING REQUIREMENTS AFFECTING MOST
Starting November 14, 2011, employers have yet another poster to post along with other employee notices.  The new poster informs employees of their rights under the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA) and is mandated by a final rule published by the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) in the August 30 Federal Register.  The rule establishes the size, form, and content of the notice, and remedies for noncompliance.  Read more
