Discounts from AGCA

Additional discounts on goods and services from AGCA:  Last week AGC of America signed discount program deals with Ford Motor Company. Also, they signed an exclusive discount program with BP. More information about the programs and website links will be established in the next few weeks. The Ford program with AGC covers 2008-09 Ford, Lincoln, Mercury cars, trucks and SUVs. The discount code for the Ford Motor Company program is # 96049. The BP fuel discount program will provide rebates on BP gas and diesel purchases, and a limited rebate on other gas brands purchased using the BP MasterCard. This discount program should rebate back about .06 per gallon of fuel purchased. AGCA promises more details very soon.  Remember, the GM Rebate Program also is in place to run through at least the end of 2008. On another note, AGCA reports that they HAVE NOT entered into any discount agreement or approved an AGCA affiliation with Verizon. 

 

2008 Estimating Academy

AGCA and ASPE, in partnership with the NE Building Chapter will be offering The Estimating Academy in Omaha, NE on October 27-28, 2008. REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN and limited to 50 participants.

 

 

Save the Date for Our Fall Regional Member Meetings

Ken Simonson, AGCA National Economist will be the featured speaker at three fall regional member meetings. SAVE THE DATE for Thursday, October 30th. Ken will be speaking at the Omaha Member meeting at 7:30am, Lincoln Member Meeting at 12:00pm and in Kearney for the Central Nebraska Member Meeting at 4:30pm.

Invitations and RSVP forms will be out about October 1st. 

 

 

Top 10 Reasons to Use ConsensusDOCS

TOP TEN REASONS TO USE ConsensusDOCS 
Coming in January, 2009, Brian M. Perlberg, AGCA Senior Counsel, Contracts & Construction Law, will be coming to Nebraska to present a program on ConsensusDOCS.  This will be a program event that you will want to invite your attorney and a few choice clients to attend with you. The purpose of the program is to focus on the benefits of contract documents for the owner, contractor and subcontractor. Brian was involved with the development of ConsensusDOCS from the very start. Watch for more details to come later this fall. The date will be January 13 or 14 and will be held in Omaha or Lincoln or somewhere in between.

Nebraska Conference in Omaha

DBIA-Nebraska Chapter invites you to attend their Nebraska Conference on September 18th, 2008 in Omaha.  The conference will feature Nebraska’s recently enacted Design Build and CM at Risk Legislation.  The keynote speaker will be Lee Evey, DBIA National President.  The event will be held from 8:00am to 5:00pm at the Scott Conference Center, 6450 Pine Street, Omaha, NE.  For more information and the cost to attend, contact Ed Tricker at ETRICKER@woodsaitken.com.
