City Building Construction Projects Meeting on April 21
Info for Contractors, Vendors, Demolition & Construction Companies

CEDAR RAPIDS, IA – April 4, 2011 – The City of Cedar Rapids will host a City Building Construction Projects informational meeting on Thursday, April 21, at 1:00 p.m. at The Hotel at Kirkwood Center, 7725 Kirkwood Boulevard SW.

City Council Member Chuck Swore and City staff will present information about 17 facility construction projects totaling approximately $196 million. Most of the projects will be up for bid in 2011 and 2012. This meeting is designed for contractors, vendors, demolition and construction companies interested in bidding on these building projects.

During the meeting, attendees will learn project descriptions, bidding protocols and construction schedules for each project. Future bidders are not required to attend this meeting, but attendance is encouraged. Project and construction managers will be on hand to answer one-on-one questions after the presentation.
