Emerging Construction Professional Forum

The Emerging Construction Professional Forum had a great turnout for the last forum of the season last night. Thirty-five participants attended the panel presentation and round table discussion on insights of the future of commercial construction. A big “Thank You” goes to the five panel presenters:

Southeast Community College-Milford Campus

Southeast Community College-Milford Campus honored one of our members with the “Outstanding Alumnus” award last week at their Winter Quarter Commencement. Paul Beller, Vice President, Meyers-Carlisle-Leapley Construction Company of Omaha was honored by Milford Campus and also was the commencement speaker.

Paul graduated in 1981 with a degree in Building Construction Technology. He has since completed a 4-year degree and has been with MCL since 1994. Paul spoke of the importance of professional associations in career development and gave credit to Cal Solam, past AGC Executive Director, as being his mentor throughout his early career.

April 2nd, 4:00pm: Chances R-York, NE - Joint Central and Northeast Region Meetings. The topic: The Role of the Performance Criteria Developer. May 4th, 4:30pm: Omaha Regional Member Meeting. “Meet the Omaha Mayoral Candidates” The details will be out very soon on this event. This will be a joint event with AGC-NE Chapter, AIA-NE and ACEC-NE and will be held at the DoubleTree Hotel on 72nd Street.

May 5th, 5:15-7:30pm: MDT-Scottsbluff Country Club-Western Regional Member Meeting
Kory George, Woods & Aitken LLP, will be presenting the program.

The 2009 Membership Directory

The 2009 Membership Directory should have arrived at your office by now. Updates were made to the directory based on the “Directory Update" forms returned to the Chapter office by March 1st. If your information is incorrect it may be because the “information sheet” was not returned. Please forward any corrections or changes to agcnebuilder@windstream.net. Linda will update the electronic version of the Directory at the Chapter website. The detailed directory is located in the Member’s Only section. Your company name, address, phone and website address is available on the home page.
