At the start of 2008 the Chapter’s Board of Directors established the Membership Development Committee. The purpose of the committee is to create a plan and process for membership involvement to maximize membership growth and loyalty by retaining existing members and welcoming new members each year. The MD Committee developed two programs that are being implemented for the first time between September 2008 and August 2009 cycle. The programs are meant to engage members in some friendly competition and recognition to ultimately reach the Chapter’s goals. The “Member Participation Initiative” is a year long program that culminates with individual members being recognized as “Premier Members” and one member firm being awarded “Premier Firm”. Click here for the program details. Points are awarded based on sign-in sheets at each event. The “Every Member Recruit Program” provides monetary rewards to individuals that are instrumental in bringing new members to the Chapter. Click here for program details.

Just finished: Just starting: Western Nebraska Seminars: Emerging Construction Professional Forum will be Tuesday, February 17th. Save the date. Program announcements and RSVP forms will be out next week. This session’s topic is "Understanding Financial Statements and The Basics of Commercial Lending".

An Omaha member voiced a need for a Commercial Blueprint Reading class to be held in Omaha for members in the area. A short-course will be scheduled and designed if there is enough interest. OMAHA MEMBERS call or email Jean regarding this soon. The printed 2009 Membership Directory will go to the printer March 9th. The only way your company information will be correctly included will be if 1.) Company dues are paid current and 2.) You have updated your company information. If no change information is received in the Chapter office by February 15th the 2008 information will be used. To check your information go to the 2008 Member Directory in the Members Only section of the website. If you have misplaced the “change form” that was mailed at the end of December, just call or email the office with changes. Speaking of email, our addresses are changing from Alltel to Windstream. The change won't be official for another couple of months, but the Windstream addresses are already in place and working fine. Please update your address books with the following:
